Delhi Metro Partners with Mappls MapmyIndia to Bring Real-Time Metro Data to Commuters
Commuters across Delhi-NCR will soon be able to access real-time metro information.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mappls MapmyIndia to integrate metro data directly into the Mappls App.
Under this partnership, commuters across Delhi-NCR will soon be able to access real-time metro information — including nearby stations, routes, fares, line changes, train frequencies, and estimated travel times — within the Mappls App, which currently serves over 35 million users.
“Delhi Metro is committed to enhancing commuter convenience through innovation and technology,” said Dr. Vikas Kumar, Managing Director of DMRC. “The integration of DMRC’s metro data with the Mappls app will make travel across NCR smarter and seamless — enabling commuters to plan better, navigate easily, and save time.”
“Soon the DMRC data will get integrated into the multi-modal transport feature of the Mappls app, making travel across the Delhi NCR faster, smarter and seamless. We are proud to be recognized as India’s premier location tech provider by some of highest echelons in the Indian Government,” MapmyIndia Co-Founder and Chairman Rakesh Verma added.
Beyond metro data, the collaboration also supports transparency and public engagement. The Mappls App will allow users to report real-time civic and traffic issues — from congestion to waterlogging — while authorities receive instant alerts for faster response and improved urban mobility.
The partnership reinforces India’s growing emphasis on smart city innovation and citizen-centric digital infrastructure.
