CoreWeave is entering India through a [partnership](https://web.whatsapp.com/?ref=theleftshift.com) with AdaniConneX, planning to deploy 240 megawatts (MW) of AI data centre capacity at the latter’s Taloja campus in Navi Mumbai.

The US-based AI cloud provider plans to build the capacity across three 80 MW buildings and deploy NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin Platform on its AI Cloud. The infrastructure is expected to support AI training, inference, reasoning and agentic workloads, with the first phase scheduled to become available in mid-2028 and additional capacity coming online in stages.

[CoreWeave](https://www.theleftshift.com/coreweave-buys-bitcoin-giant-core-scientific-to-supercharge-ai-data-centers/) also plans to open an office in India and hire locally, giving it an on-the-ground presence to work with customers and partners. The company said the expansion aims to bring its specialised compute, software, and services closer to Indian enterprises and AI developers.

> *“Our customers are building and scaling AI globally, and we need to be where they need us. India has a deep base of technical talent, developers and enterprises putting AI to work, and we see significant demand ahead.*

> *"We plan to deploy NVIDIA Vera Rubin and build specifically for the demands of AI at scale. We’re bringing our AI Cloud closer to customers so they have the compute, software and expertise to build and run AI in India,” said* [*Sachin Jain*](https://www.linkedin.com/in/jainsachin/?ref=theleftshift.com)*, CoreWeave Chief Operating Officer.*

The Taloja campus will be designed for high-density AI workloads, including direct liquid cooling for GPU data halls and a non-evaporative chilled-water system. CoreWeave will be the sole tenant across the three buildings and will have the option to add another 240 MW, potentially doubling its capacity at the campus.
