Check Point Completes Acquisition of Lakera, Launches First End-to-End AI Security Platform

Check Point Software Technologies has officially closed its acquisition of Lakera, the Zurich-based AI-native security company, marking a major milestone in the race to secure enterprise AI systems.

The deal combines Check Point’s prevention-first cybersecurity architecture with Lakera’s expertise in adversarial testing, red-teaming, and model-level threat detection — resulting in what the company calls the world’s first end-to-end AI Security Platform.

The integrated platform is designed to protect the full AI lifecycle, from data pipelines and model training to runtime behavior and autonomous agent actions.

This also lays the groundwork for a new category Check Point is calling AI Transformation Security, bringing together cybersecurity, AI governance, and compliance in a market projected to exceed USD 60 billion by 2028.

As enterprises rapidly deploy generative AI and intelligent agents to automate decisions at scale, Check Point warns that risks are shifting.

According to the company, today, humans are the weakest link in cybersecurity; tomorrow, autonomous agents will be. These systems will access sensitive data, execute operational tasks, and interact with other applications — making them prime targets for manipulation or loss of control if not properly secured.

The combined platform embeds prevention, continuous monitoring, and AI-native detection directly into enterprise workflows. Lakera’s global red-teaming community, Gandalf, now part of Check Point, serves as the world’s largest AI adversarial testing ecosystem, continuously training defenses against real-world threats.

With this acquisition, Check Point becomes one of the only major cybersecurity vendors offering true end-to-end AI protection — spanning employee AI tools, custom applications, models, data infrastructure, and intelligent agents.
