Bengaluru Startup Unveils India’s First Quantum Computer for Education

Bengaluru-based deep tech startup QpiAI has unveiled QVidya, India’s first 8-qubit superconducting quantum computer designed exclusively for academic institutions and research labs.

QVidya is part of QpiAI’s full-stack quantum ecosystem, integrating a modular quantum computer system, an 8-qubit Quantum Processor Unit (QPU), advanced control and readout electronics, a GUI-based algorithm development platform, and quantum learning and simulation tools.

"This is our second addition to our growing portfolio of Quantum computers that includes India's largest and most powerful Quantum computer, Indus (25 Qubit)," Kanishka Agiwal, Vice President - Sales at QpiAI, said.

QVidya also includes Quantum-HPC datacenter integration and full deployment support.

The system allows universities and R&D centres to conduct real-time experiments while developing quantum skills in a practical environment.

According to QpiAI, the initiative aligns with India’s vision to lead in quantum readiness and technological innovation.
