Bengaluru-based AI startup Metaforms has secured $9 million in Series A funding, led by Peak XV Partners, with participation from Nexus Venture Partners and Together Fund.
The funding will be used to triple its engineering and AI research teams in India, deepen R&D efforts, and expand into automated report generation and voice-based research.
Founded in 2022 by Akshat Tyagi and Arjun S, Metaforms aims to modernise the $130 billion global market research industry by automating legacy workflows. Its AI platform streamlines processes like survey programming, data processing, and vendor coordination, enabling agencies to manage larger volumes of work with higher efficiency.
“Metaforms is scaling rapidly by enabling major research agencies to automate complex workflows through their AI agents,” said Shailendra Singh, MD at Peak XV Partners.
In just six months since its commercial launch, Metaforms has signed four of the world’s top 20 research agencies, including Strat7, and is serving Fortune 500 companies. The platform processes over 1,000 surveys monthly and boasts 100% customer expansion.
“We're not here to replace humans—we're here to give them leverage,” said CEO Tyagi, highlighting Metaforms’ mission to redefine research infrastructure for the AI era.
