AWS Launches Space Accelerator Programme in India to Boost SpaceTech Innovation
Startups selected for the accelerator will receive technical support, up to US$100,000 in AWS credits.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced the launch of its Space Accelerator: Asia-Pacific programme, extending to India, Australia, and Japan, to empower startups working in the space sector with cloud-based tools, mentorship, and business development support.
Developed in collaboration with TechConnect, the programme aims to fast-track the growth of emerging space-tech ventures tackling challenges in earth observation, satellite communications, navigation, and space exploration.
The programme in India is being supported by Hyderabad-based startup incubator T-Hub and the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Center (IN-SPACe) to strengthen the local space-tech ecosystem.
Startups selected for the accelerator will receive technical support, up to US$100,000 in AWS credits, and personalised mentorship from space domain experts, venture capitalists, and AWS technology specialists.
With India's private space sector gaining global attention—fueled by successful missions like Chandrayaan-3, and growing participation from startups like Agnikul Cosmos and Pixxel—this initiative marks a strategic move by AWS to support the nation’s innovation ecosystem.
“Through this accelerator programme, we’re not just supporting individual startups, we’re helping to build a robust community that can drive economic growth and technological advancement throughout the region,” Clint Crosier, director of AWS’s aerospace and satellite business, said.
Applications for the programme are now open, and selected startups will participate in a technical and business-focused accelerator beginning later this year.
