Apple Smart Home Display Expected by Late 2025
Running a custom OS, the device will blend watchOS and iOS StandBy UI elements

Apple is reportedly gearing up to launch its first smart home display by the end of 2025, according to Bloomberg.
It’s expected to feature a six-inch touchscreen, thick bezels, a front-facing camera for FaceTime, and possibly a rechargeable battery. Mounting options may include a wall bracket and speaker-integrated stand.
Running a custom OS, the device will blend watchOS and iOS StandBy UI elements, offering app access, media playback, and deep Siri integration.
Originally scheduled for a spring 2025 release, the device has been delayed due to internal setbacks, including issues with upgrading Siri, which is expected to be the main interface for the product.
The AI-enhanced Siri, initially planned for iOS 18.4, has been pushed to the next iOS cycle due to bugs found during testing.
The upcoming smart home display is designed to function as a central HomeKit hub, allowing users to control smart devices from a unified interface.
