Apple Brings Real-Time Translation to AirPods Pro 3
AirPods Pro 3 are available for pre-order today, with general availability beginning September 19.

Cupertino, California – September 10, 2025 — Apple has unveiled the AirPods Pro 3, its latest generation of wireless earbuds, with a standout feature: Live Translation. For the first time, users can rely on AirPods to translate conversations in real time, breaking down language barriers in face-to-face interactions.
Powered by Apple Intelligence, the translation tool allows two people speaking different languages to communicate naturally. Words are translated and delivered directly into the user’s ear, making AirPods not just a personal audio device but also a powerful tool for global connection.
“Combined with an improved fit that provides greater stability for even more people, heart rate sensing, extended battery life, and Live Translation enabled by Apple Intelligence, AirPods Pro 3 take personal audio to the next level,” John Ternus, Apple’s senior vice president of Hardware Engineering, said.
Beyond translation, AirPods Pro 3 bring improved Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) — removing up to twice as much noise as the previous model — and introduce heart-rate monitoring with integration into the iPhone Fitness app. Users can track more than 50 workout types while enjoying enhanced in-ear stability and IP57 durability.
A redesigned multiport acoustic system and next-generation Adaptive EQ also improve spatial audio, expanding the soundstage and delivering greater vocal clarity. Personalized Transparency makes voices sound more natural, helping users stay aware of their surroundings.
