# AM Intelligence Orders 9,000 NVIDIA Rubin GPUs for Hyderabad AI Factory

AM Intelligence (AMI), the AI infrastructure company established by the promoters of Greenko, has placed a firm and binding order for **9,000 NVIDIA Rubin GPUs** for its first AI factory in Hyderabad.

The GPUs will be deployed as NVIDIA era Rubin NVL72 rack-scale systems across 30 MW of capacity. AMI said the Hyderabad facility is expected to become one of the first frontier AI compute clusters in Asia, with delivery scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.

The Hyderabad AI factory represents the first phase of AMI’s planned 1 GW of Compute-as-a-Service capacity across India, the US, Finland and Malaysia. The company plans to bring an initial 200 MW online in the near term, involving more than $8 billion in capital expenditure.

The Hyderabad facility is being designed to combine NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin architecture with high-throughput RDMA over Converged Ethernet (RoCE) networking and advanced storage systems. AMI said the infrastructure will be capable of running large AI models, including trillion-parameter models and next-generation agentic AI applications.

NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin NVL72 architecture introduces NVFP4, a low-precision computing format aimed at improving AI workload efficiency, alongside HBM4 memory. According to AMI, the architecture can reduce AI inference token-serving costs by up to 10 times compared with the previous Grace Blackwell generation.

AMI said its Hyderabad AI factory is being engineered to deliver approximately 450 exaFLOPS of NVFP4 inference compute.

The company is also developing a larger AI infrastructure network spanning India, the US and Europe, with plans for 5 GW of powered AI data centres. 

AMI said its Compute-as-a-Service platform will target hyperscalers, AI labs, enterprises, sovereign AI initiatives and AI-native companies, while also expanding access to advanced compute for developers in India.

## AMI Labs Partners with OXMIQ on 1 GW AI Compute Hub in Noida

OXMIQ Labs, the GPU architecture and AI technology company founded by [Raja Koduri](https://www.linkedin.com/in/raja-koduri-3a51611/?ref=theleftshift.com), has [partnered](https://oxmiq.ai/blog-am-intelligence-renewable-ai-compute?ref=theleftshift.com) with AMI Labs, a division of AM Group, to provide architecture and infrastructure advisory for its planned AI compute expansion in India.

Under the partnership, [OXMIQ](https://www.theleftshift.com/legendary-gpu-architect-raja-koduri-unveils-startup-oxmiq-to-rewrite-the-rules-of-ai-computing/) will support the development of AMI Labs’ planned **2 GW AI compute capacity by 2030**, including an initial 1 GW AI Compute Hub being developed in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

The companies will work on system architecture, hardware roadmaps, supply chain strategy and infrastructure design. OXMIQ will bring expertise spanning GPU architecture, advanced packaging, rack-scale systems, high-performance networking and AI workload orchestration.

AMI Labs has already begun execution of Phase 1 of the Noida Compute Hub, with initial capacity targeted to come online by the end of 2027.

The facility is being developed as a vertically integrated AI infrastructure platform combining renewable power, data centers, accelerators, software and flexible AI compute services. AM Group, the parent of Greenko, plans to leverage its renewable energy and storage infrastructure to provide lower-cost power for large-scale AI computing.
