Adani Enterprises, through its joint venture AdaniConneX, has partnered with Google to build India’s largest AI data centre campus in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, alongside a major green energy infrastructure initiative.

“The Adani Group is proud to partner with Google on this historic project that will define the future of India's digital landscape,” said Gautam Adani, Chairman, Adani Group. “This is more than just an investment in infrastructure. It is an investment in the soul of a rising nation.”

Valued at approximately USD 15 billion over five years (2026–2030), Google’s AI hub will feature gigawatt-scale data centre operations powered by clean energy and supported by a new subsea cable network. The project, developed in collaboration with AdaniConneX and Airtel, aims to provide the compute backbone for India’s fast-growing AI ecosystem.

The Visakhapatnam facility will be purpose-built to support advanced AI workloads, significantly expanding India’s compute capacity and enabling industries to scale innovation.

Alongside, Adani and Google will co-invest in renewable energy generation, transmission lines, and energy storage systems to ensure sustainable and reliable power for the facility and the regional grid.

Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud, added, “To unlock India’s massive potential in the AI age, we are investing in the Google AI hub, which will provide the critical foundation to drive growth and enable businesses, researchers, and creators to build and scale with AI.”

The initiative is expected to create tens of thousands of jobs across technology, construction, and clean energy sectors.
